What is e-mail forwarding?
E-Mail forwarding is a procedure by which we setup a virtual e-mail address, also referred to as a "virtual alias".  Any e-mail sent to this "virtual" e-mail address is automatically forwarded to a person's "real" e-mail address.

Sample Scenarios:

  1. Joan has had an e-mail address with yahoo.com for years.  Joan wants to keep her yahoo.com e-mail address, but would like her own personalized "anzavalley.net" e-mail address.  Joan establishes a free e-mail address: "jsmith@anzavalley.net".  Anything that is sent to her new email address is automatically forwarded to her yahoo account.

  2. Tom already has an e-mail account that he and his wife use at home to send e-mail to family and friends.  Tom uses the Internet regularly at work for research, and is forced to provide his e-mail address in order to "register" at websites to conduct his research.  Tom establishes a free e-mail address: "toolguy@anzavalley.net".

    Now whenever Tom is asked for his e-mail address on-line, Tom uses his new "toolguy" e-mail address.  He does not have to worry about SPAM and VIRUSES anymore, because everything that is sent to his new e-mail address is checked for viruses and SPAM before being forwarded to his home e-mail address.

    More importantly, Tom can use his "Anza Valley" email address on his business card and flyers -- which lends credibility to the fact that he is a local business owner.
